In the fourth quarter of 2023, the food delivery app landscape in Central America saw significant activity. Analyzing data from Sensor Tower, we explore the performance of the top five food delivery services on a unified platform.

DiDi Food - Food Delivery maintained a strong presence in the region with a consistent increase in weekly downloads. Starting at around 100K in late September, downloads peaked at approximately 135K in early December. The app also experienced a steady rise in weekly active users, culminating at nearly 1.8M in mid-December before a slight dip to around 1.4M at the end of the quarter.

Rappi: Market and Food Online showed a fluctuating yet overall positive trend in weekly downloads, starting at roughly 100K and ending the quarter at about 121K. Revenue for Rappi remained relatively stable, hovering around $5 to $6 per week. Weekly active users saw a minor decrease to 1.6M by the end of December after peaking at 1.7M earlier in the quarter.

Uber Eats: Food Delivery experienced a notable increase in weekly downloads towards the end of the quarter, reaching over 112K in the last week of December. PedidosYa - Delivery App saw moderate but steady weekly downloads, maintaining figures between 34K and 47K throughout the quarter. Active users showed a slight upward trend overall, peaking at nearly 978K at the end of October and ending the quarter with around 938K.

Modelorama Now demonstrated significant growth in weekly downloads, starting at 14K and reaching approximately 49K by late December. The app also saw a consistent upward trend in active users, peaking at around 105K in late November before ending the quarter with nearly 99K.
